So recently I have been totally into anime. I am anime obsessed right now and I’ve been trying to watch as much as I can. So today beautiful people I’m gonna list some anime that I have watched or I’m currently watching. This list is just for series, not movies. I will do movies later.
Hataraku Maou-Sama (the devil is a part-timer)
The show is about a demon king named Sadao Maou seeking to conquer the world of Ente Isla but, when confronted by the Hero Emilia, he is forced to retreat through a gate that transports him to modern day Tokyo, Japan. To survive and find a way to return to Ente Isla, Satan gains part-time employment at a fast food restaurant called MgRonald. This was a funny show, very light, although I was sad that it wasn’t long because I needed more but it was still cool to watch and I still go back and watch funny moments. I recommend this to anyone.
Nanatsu no Taizai (seven deadly sins)
In a world similar to the European Middle Ages, the feared yet revered Holy Knights of Britannia use immensely powerful magic to protect the region of Britannia and its kingdoms. However, a small subset of the Knights supposedly betrayed their homeland and turned their blades against their comrades in an attempt to overthrow the ruler of Liones. They were defeated by the Holy Knights, but rumours continued to persist that these legendary knights, called the “Seven Deadly Sins,” were still alive. Ten years later, the Holy Knights themselves staged a coup d’état, and thus became the new, tyrannical rulers of the Kingdom of Liones. Nanatsu no Taizai follows the adventures of Elizabeth, the third princess of the Kingdom of Liones, and her search for the Seven Deadly Sins. With their help, she endeavours to not only take back her kingdom from the Holy Knights but to also seek justice in an unjust world. This is another good show, it’s not as light as Hataraku Maou-Sama but it’s not it’s still pretty light, there’s a lot of action so it’s not slow paced. I also recommend this to anyone.
Akame ga Kill
A countryside boy named Tatsumi sets out on a journey to The Capital to make a name for himself and met a seemingly dangerous group of Assassins known as Night Raid. So this show was amazing, a friend actually recommended this and I’m so happy I watched this. The show is about assassins so obviously there will be a lot of bloody scenes, but it’s totally worth it, you fall in love with the characters and root for them. Like I said there are bloody scenes but I think it’s manageable so I recommend it.
Naruto is a hyperactive and knuckle-headed ninja living in the village hidden in leaves. Shunned because of the nine tailed fox inside him, Naruto struggles to find his place in the village, while his burning desire to become the Hokage leads him not only to some great new friends but also some deadly foes. This is the only show on this list that I am currently watching. I remember when someone told me about this show and I was like “no thank you”, now I am loving it.it’s funny, it’s emotional and is packed with action. I recommend this to everyone.
Ghouls are terrifying creatures which feed on human flesh. When Kaneki is almost killed in an attack, he transforms into a half-ghoul, half-human hybrid and is forced to adapt to their lifestyle in order to survive. This was so interesting, anytime I crack my fingers I think of this show, it’s on the bloody side but it is so worth it, the characters are amazing and the action is pretty cool too, it’s a must watch. I haven’t started watching season three yet because I’m watching Naruto, but I think I might binge watch it when all the episodes are out.
Attack on Titan
After his hometown is destroyed and his mother is killed, young Eren Yeager vows to cleanse the earth of the giant humanoid Titans that have brought humanity to the brink of extinction. The first time I saw this was on youtube and at first I was like “not really”, but I had nothing to watch so I said “sure why not”, and that was the best decision I have ever made in my life. OMG, this show is so mind-blowing, I mean it just gets you at every turn, especially the second season. Every time an episode finishes I’m just like “next”, I was sleep deprived because of this show but I regret nothing, I didn’t eat- more like forgot to eat, I mean who needs those things when you have Captain Levi Ackerman. I am so excited for season three.
Usagi Tsukino is an average student and crybaby who constantly scores low on her tests. Unexpectedly, her life is turned upside down when she saves a cat with a crescent moon on its head from danger. The cat, named Luna, later reveals that their meeting was not an accident: Usagi is destined to become Sailor Moon, a planetary guardian with the power to protect the Earth. Given a special brooch that allows her to transform, she must use her new powers to save the city from evil energy-stealing monsters sent by the malevolent Queen Beryl of the Dark Kingdom.
But getting accustomed to her powers and fighting villains are not the only things she has to worry about. She must find the lost princess of the Moon Kingdom, the other Sailor Guardians, and the Legendary Silver Crystal in order to save the planet from destruction. This is the show that started my anime obsession. I remember watching it as a kid but it was the dubbed version, so for some reason last year I had an urge to re-watch it and I was hooked, I love this show and it is my favourite anime ever and a classic.
So there you have it, I hope you guys enjoyed this list and if you have any recommendations for me, I would love to hear it.
